Simulate Live Event Start with Xtream AI

By marking a channel as an Event Channel, you can display a custom video to users whenever all stream sources are offline, creating a professional and smooth experience that simulates a "waiting for event to start" screen.

What Does "Is an Event Channel?" Do?

When you enable the "Is an Event Channel?" toggle inside a channel's settings, Xtream AI treats the channel differently during source downtime.

Instead of showing a broken or black screen, the system will automatically play a default video to all users, indicating that the event is about to begin.

This feature is especially useful for:

  • Sports matches
  • Concerts or live shows
  • Webinars or timed broadcasts
  • Any channel where content starts at a specific scheduled time

How to Enable It

  1. Go to your Admin Panel.
  2. Navigate to the channel you want to configure.
  3. Under the Information tab, toggle the "Is an Event Channel?" option.

Once enabled, the system will handle source outages by replacing the live stream with a default video when all sources are offline. This simplifies pre-event management for sports, concerts, and timed broadcasts.

Advanced Event Features

Xtream AI now includes powerful automated tools for managing event lifecycle, from scheduling to post-event replays.

Automated Event Recordings & VOD

Administrators can now enable automatic recording of events directly from the channel page.

  • Scheduled Capture: The recording starts and ends automatically based on the specified start and finish times.
  • AI-Driven Timing: For global events, the AI automatically determines the correct start and end times.
  • Instant VOD Library: Once the event finishes, the recording is automatically saved into your selected VOD category and assigned to the specified bouquets.

Event Replays & Restreaming

To maximize engagement, you can configure the system to:

  • Automatic Loop: Replay the event recording on the same channel immediately after the original broadcast ends.
  • Scheduled Deletion: Set the channel to be automatically deleted after a specific number of hours or days following the event.

Events Scheduler with AI

Use the AI to build your sports infrastructure automatically. This tool identifies daily sports events and creates the necessary channels based on your available sources.

  • Automatic Channel Creation: The AI searches for today's events, verifies if you have the required sources in your database, and creates channels within your selected categories, bouquets, and servers.
  • Manual Assignment Mode: If you don't have the source yet, you can choose to create the channel without bouquets (hidden from clients). This allows you to have the structure ready in your database for manual source assignment later.

AI-Generated Visuals & Metadata

Xtream AI enhances the visual appeal of your event channels:

  • Custom Event Logos: The AI generates unique logos for matches, automatically featuring the competing teams.
  • Movie-style Content: In most cases, the AI generates customized images for the event. If the event is published as a movie, it also creates professional cover and backdrop images.

How to Set a Different Default Video

To define which video will be shown when event channels are offline (before the broadcast or recording begins):

  1. Go to Settings β†’ Streaming in your panel.
  2. Locate the option "Show a video while streams marked as events are still offline."
  3. Click Edit and input the video path or URL.
  4. Save the changes.

How It Works at Runtime

  • Waiting State: When all stream sources for the event channel are offline, the selected video will play, simulating a "waiting for event to start" screen.
  • Live State: As soon as at least one source becomes available, the video is automatically replaced by the live stream.
  • Post-Event State: If recording is enabled, the stream can transition into a VOD or a loop restreaming session.
