After a few big imports, a catalog gets messy: the same movie twice, episodes that fail to play, titles with no category, a mix of SD and 4K files. The lists in Movies, Series and Episodes have filters that find these problems in seconds, and the same filters are on the mass pages so you can fix them in one go.

Where the filters are

Page Filters
Movies > Overview Search, server, category, status, quality
Series > Overview Search, category, Duplicates
Series > Episodes Search, server, series, status, quality
Movies > Mass Edit, Series > Mass Edit Series / Mass Edit Episodes The same filters as the lists, except No Server Assigned
Movies > Mass Delete Movies, Series > Mass Delete Episodes Filter by status and Filter by quality

The filters combine. For example, status Down plus quality 4K shows only the 4K movies that fail.

Find duplicates

Choose Duplicates in the status filter (in Series > Overview it is the only option next to No Filter).

  • Movies and Series: titles with exactly the same name.
  • Episodes: two or more episodes that use the same season and episode number in the same series, even when their names differ.

The copies are listed next to each other so you can compare them.

The filter shows every copy, including the one you want to keep. Before you delete, unselect the copy you keep.

To keep two versions of a movie on purpose, give them different names, for example "Night Harbor (2019)" and "Night Harbor (2019) 4K". Import Movies does this for you with Import as separate version.

Find broken or pending content

The status filter in Movies and Episodes has these options:

  • Encoded: ready to play.
  • Down: something failed. The encoding failed, the download failed, or the file is missing. Titles with Direct Source are not included.
  • Downloading: the server is downloading the source.
  • Processing: the server is encoding it now.
  • Queued: waiting in the encoding queue.
  • Waiting Encode: waiting to be encoded.
  • Direct: titles that use Direct Source (players go straight to the original URL).
  • No Server Assigned (in the Overview lists): the title points to a server that was deleted from the panel. These titles cannot play. You can delete them as usual.

Filter by picture quality

The quality filter has SD, HD, FHD, 4K, 8K and Unknown. It uses the resolution the server measured for each file, and it matches the quality badge in the list.

  • Wide movies with black bars cropped (for example 1920x800) count as FHD.
  • Unknown means there is no video information yet, for example a title that was never processed.

Use it to find SD copies you want to replace, or to build a 4K category with Mass Edit.

Find titles without a category

In Movies > Overview and Series > Overview, choose Without Categories Associated in the category filter. Titles without a category do not show up in your clients' category lists. Select them in Mass Edit and assign a category.

Fix in bulk

  1. Open the mass page for the content type, for example Movies > Mass Delete Movies or Movies > Mass Edit.
  2. Apply the filters, for example Duplicates or Down.
  3. Select the rows and apply the change or the delete.

In Movies > Mass Edit you can change, for all selected movies at once, the category (Category Name), the bouquets (Select Bouquets), the server (Where the movie is hosted) and the publishing options (Convert Movie for Web (Recommended), Create Symlink, Direct Source and others). The idea is the same as Mass Edit for channels.
