Settings holds the options that apply to your whole service, not to one client or one reseller. Use it to set your service name and logo, decide what resellers can do, tune how channels and VOD play, and keep your panel safe.

Open Settings

  1. Click your user menu at the top right.
  2. Click Settings.

Only administrators with the Settings permission see it. Resellers have their own, smaller Settings page.

  • Use Search settings at the top to find an option by name, for example "backup" or "trial".
  • On a wide screen, the menu on the right jumps to each section.
  • Most switches save on their own when you click them, and the line below changes to Enabled or Disabled. Options with a value (a number, a URL) have an Edit button that opens a small window with Save.
  • Some options only appear when your main server runs a recent engine. If you do not see an option described here, see Update the engine.

General

  • Change Panel Logo: replace the Xtream AI logo with yours. Enter a Logo URL.
  • Service Name: the name of your streaming service.
  • License Key, License Expiration (with Renew) and Actual Version - Xtream AI (Streaming Engine): your license and the engine version of your main server.

Security

  • Logout On IP Change: ends the session of an admin or reseller if their IP and browser data change while they are logged in. This helps against stolen sessions.
  • The protection rules: VPN Policy (Users), VPN Policy (Restreamers), Block Unauthorized Restreamers, Block Bots (DMCA), VOD Download Protection, Block playlist downloads in browser for non-restreamers and Missing Line Auto Blocking. See Protection.
  • Verbose Error Pages: error pages show a clear reason (for example "Account expired" or "IP not allowed") instead of a plain error code. Useful when you help a client with a problem.

Resellers

Global permissions for all resellers:

  • Block creation of trials: stop all resellers from creating trial accounts for a while.
  • Ban lines when a reseller's subscription expires, Also expire everything below an expired reseller and Don't hold the slots given to sub-resellers: for resellers billed by users. Each option needs the one above it.
  • Minimum client password length: the shortest password a reseller can set for a client (4 to 32, default 10).
  • Force Playlist URL Encryption: see Playlist encryption.
  • Enable resellers to set user restrictions, Enable resellers to set custom usernames for their Lines and Enable resellers to change the email address associated with their own account.
  • Widgets for Resellers: turn the widget system on or off for all resellers.
  • Reseller DNS lock: lines of a reseller with domains can only connect through those domains. See Reseller DNS blocking.
  • Reseller credit debit: resellers can also remove credits from their direct sub-resellers. See Reseller credits.

Streaming (Channels & Vod)

Access & Restrictions

  • Enable CORS: keep it on if your clients play content in web players or websites.
  • Block any second different IP in Non-Restreamers: a client who is not a restreamer cannot play from a second, different IP.
  • Block Empty User-Agents: nobody, restreamers included, can play with an empty user-agent. Recommended.
  • Kill Non-Restreamers User connections if the user is connected more than the hours allowed: set a maximum number of hours per connection.
  • Connection Switch Grace: when a line goes over its maximum connections, for example a client switching devices, the engine waits this many seconds before it closes the oldest connection. From 5 to 300 seconds, default 15.

Playback & Encoding

  • Default User-Agent for processing Streams/Channels: the user-agent your servers use to pull channels from your sources.
  • Vod Download Speed Limit: a speed limit for VOD, in KB/s, for all users. A very low value causes buffering.
  • Direct source proxy: instead of sending the player to the original URL of a direct source movie, your server relays it. The player never sees the origin, but your server uses bandwidth while the client watches.
  • Automatically return to the preferred source: see Preferred source.
  • Live ingest (RTMP / SRT): an emergency switch for all encoder signals. See Live ingest.
  • Max Concurrent VOD Encodes: how many VOD files each server can encode at the same time. 0 means no limit.
  • Auto Start on Boot: a delay in seconds before the engine starts after the server boots (0 turns it off).

Content Automation

  • Auto-download channel images: your servers download and keep channel logos and cover images.
  • Content sort direction: Oldest first (default) or Newest first, for items without a manual position. See Categories and ordering.
  • Delete orphan VOD files: every hour, delete files in the VOD folder that have no movie or episode in the panel.

On-Demand Behavior

  • On-Demand Idle Timeout: how long an on-demand channel keeps running after the last viewer leaves. Off shuts it down at once and frees the provider slot. See On demand vs Turbo on demand.
  • On-Demand Offline Grace: how long to keep retrying an on-demand channel whose sources are all down before the viewers see an error. From 15 to 600 seconds, recommended 60.

Fallback Videos

Show a video instead of the channel when:

  • the channel source is offline,
  • a banned user is trying to access,
  • an expired user is trying to access,
  • streams marked as events are still offline.

Enter a Video Path/URL for each one. Restreamers do not see the first three videos. The event video is shown to all users.

SSL Certificates

  • Automatic SSL certificates: issue Let's Encrypt certificates on their own for your main domain, the DNS list and the reseller domains that point to each server. Port 80 must be open on those servers.

Reverse Proxy

Reverse proxy mode, Proxy balancing and Strict origins. See Configure the Reverse Proxy.

Traffic Rotation

  • DNS / IP Rotation: give clients a different streaming host each time, rotating between the DNS names you set per server and their IPs. Choose Rotate DNS hostnames, Rotate IPs only or Alternate DNS & IPs.

Backups

Automatic backups, Dropbox, Google Drive and the list of backups. See Database backups.

Panel API Keys

Create keys so your website, a sales bot or another tool can connect to your panel. See Panel API.

Content Notifications

Announce new channels, movies and series on Telegram and Discord. See Telegram & Discord notifications.

Logs / Cache

  • Save Client Connection Logs, Save Streams Sources Errors Logs and Save VOD Transcoding Errors Logs: turn each log on when you need it. Logs grow with traffic.
  • Clean ... Logs: the Delete button of each log removes it to free disk space.
  • Clear Nginx Reverse Proxy Cache: click Clear if your clients or resellers still see an old version after a change, instead of waiting for the cache to expire.

System

  • Disk usage alerts: get a notification on the Dashboard when a server's disk fills up. Set Warning at and Critical at as percentages. Set a level to 0 to turn it off. Changes can take up to 10 minutes to apply.

Factory Reset

Factory Reset deletes the whole database (clients, resellers, channels and everything else) and brings the panel back to its first setup. Your load balancers are not affected.

To confirm, you enter your License Key and Verification Key. You find both in your client area, in the details of your license. The panel then shows the new URL you use to log in. Make a backup first.

Common problems

  • I changed a setting and see no effect. Wait a minute, or click Clear Nginx Reverse Proxy Cache in Logs / Cache.
  • I clicked a switch and there is no save button. That is normal: switches save on their own.
  • An option is greyed out. It needs another option first. For example, Also expire everything below an expired reseller needs Ban lines when a reseller's subscription expires.
