You want other people to sell your service to their own customers, without giving them access to your whole panel. A reseller logs in to their own area of the panel, creates clients (lines) with your packages and pays with credits or slots. A reseller can also have sub-resellers below them, if you allow it.

The same screen creates administrators for your own team, for example a support person.

All of this lives in the Resellers Network menu.

Before you start

  • A member group for the reseller. The panel includes default groups, and you can create your own. See Member Groups.
  • At least one package that the group can sell. See Packages and Bouquets.

Create a reseller

  1. In the menu, open Resellers Network > Add Reseller/Admin.
  2. In What type of user?, choose Reseller and click Continue. (Choose Administrator for a member of your own team. Administrators have full access unless their group limits it.)
  3. In Choose billing model, choose how the reseller pays and click Continue. See Reseller Credits and Slots for the details.
    • Pay Per Use: the reseller pays credits each time they create or renew a client.
    • Users: the reseller gets a number of active client slots until a date. Renewals are free.
  4. In the DETAILS tab, fill in:
    • Username and Password: the login of the reseller. The password is pre-filled with a random one.
    • Email Address: required.
    • Member Group: the group decides what the reseller can do. Only reseller groups are listed.
    • Role Badge Label and Badge Color: optional, the label in the reseller's top bar. Leave them empty to use the group's label.
    • Owner: the account above this reseller. Leave yourself for a direct reseller.
    • Ask for Pin Code Access and Set Pin Code: optional. After logging in, the reseller must also enter this PIN. After three wrong PINs the session closes and the account is banned until an administrator unlocks it.
    • Reseller DNS: optional, the reseller's own domains. See Reseller DNS and Domain Lock.
    • With Pay Per Use: Credits, the starting balance. The buttons 10, 50, 100 and 500 fill common values.
    • With Users: Max Active Users, the number of slots.
    • Never Expire, or turn it off and set Subscription Expires (the buttons 7d, 15d and 30d help).
    • Notes: a private note. The reseller does not see it.
  5. Click Create User.

With Users, Max Active Users set to 0 means the reseller cannot create any client. The panel shows a warning next to the field.

Edit a reseller

  1. Open Resellers Network > Overview and click Edit (the pencil icon) on the reseller.
  2. Change what you need: Change Password, Member Group, Credits (the buttons add +10, +50, +100 or +500), Max Active Users or the expiration.
  3. To switch between Pay Per Use and Users, use Billing Mode. Learn more compares both. You cannot switch a reseller that already has sub-resellers.
  4. Click Save Changes.

The Overview list also has Disable / Enable and Delete for each reseller.

Sub-resellers: what a reseller does

If the reseller's group has Can Create Subresellers, the reseller sees Resellers Network in their own menu:

  1. They open Resellers Network > Add Subreseller.
  2. They fill in Username, Password, Email Address, Reseller DNS and Notes. A reseller with Users also sets Max Active Users and the expiration for the sub-reseller.
  3. With credits, REVIEW PURCHASE shows Total Credits, Purchase Cost and Remaining Credits. The cost is the Subreseller Price of their group.
  4. They save. To give credits to the new sub-reseller, they use Add Credits in Resellers Network > Overview.

A reseller with Pay Per Use creates sub-resellers with Pay Per Use. A reseller with Users creates sub-resellers with Users, and the clients of the sub-reseller count against the slots above. See Reseller Credits and Slots.

What happens next

  • The reseller can log in at once with the username and password you set.
  • They see only their own clients and sub-resellers, and the packages of their group.
  • Credit top-ups and transfers are listed in Logs > Credits (Added By, Target, Amount, Reason, Date). Administrators open Logs from the Servers menu.

Common problems

  • "Username already exists": choose another username.
  • The reseller sees "There are currently no user packages available to you": no package is assigned to their group. Turn the group on in the Group Permissions tab of a package.
  • The reseller does not see their clients: check the Owner of those clients.
  • The reseller sees "Your subscription has expired": their subscription date passed. Renew it with a new Subscription Expires date or Never Expire.
  • A new Member Group is not applied: ask the reseller to log out and log in again.
