Your clients want to know when you add something new. Content Notifications announces new live channels, movies and series for you, on Telegram, on Discord, or on both. Movies and series go out one by one with their poster and synopsis, and new live channels go out as a list by category. Or you can send one summary instead.

Everything is sent with your own Telegram bot and your own Discord webhooks, so the messages come from your brand.

Before you start

  • Open Settings → Content Notifications.
  • For Telegram: a Telegram account, to create the bot and receive the messages.
  • For Discord: a Discord server where you can manage webhooks in the channel you want to use.
  • Resellers can use it too if the admin turns on Allow resellers to use content notifications (only the admin sees this switch, at the top of the card). Resellers need the Settings permission.

The card has three numbered steps: Where to post, What to announce and When. Step 1 unlocks the other two. A status line at the top sums up the result, for example On · One post per item · Every hour, plus the number of destinations and the Last run.

There is no main on/off switch. Notifications are on while at least one destination has its switch on.

Step 1: Where to post

You can add up to 10 destinations in total, across both platforms.

Telegram

The bot is yours: you create it in Telegram, and the panel only uses its token to send messages.

  1. Click Open @BotFather, or search for @BotFather in Telegram.
  2. Send /newbot. Enter a name (what people see, for example My TV News) and a username that ends in bot (for example mytvnews_bot).
  3. BotFather replies with a token, like 123456789:ABCdef…. Copy all of it.
  4. In the panel, paste it in Paste the token from @BotFather and click Connect.

Then add your Telegram destinations:

  • My private chat: only you get the messages. Click Open Telegram, which opens your bot, and tap Start. The panel detects the chat in a few seconds.
  • A group: for your team or a group of customers. Open Telegram asks you to pick the group; tap Start and the panel detects it.
  • A channel: to announce to all your subscribers. First, in Telegram, open the channel → Administrators → Add administrator, find your bot and add it (it only needs permission to post). Then paste the channel's public @username in the panel and click Verify.

A private channel with no @username cannot be linked. Give it a temporary username in the channel settings, link it, then remove the username.

Disconnect bot removes the bot and all its Telegram destinations. Your Discord destinations are not touched.

Discord

Discord does not use a bot here. Each channel connects with a webhook, an address that lets the panel post in that channel.

  1. In Discord, open the settings of the channel → Integrations → Webhooks → New Webhook.
  2. Give it a name and a picture if you like, then click Copy Webhook URL.
  3. In the panel, paste the URL (it starts with https://discord.com/api/webhooks/), add a Name (optional) to recognize it, and click Add channel.

The panel checks the webhook with Discord and adds it. Repeat for every channel you want to post in.

A webhook URL works like a password. Do not share it. If you delete or regenerate it in Discord, add the channel again with the new URL.

Your destinations

Each destination is a row with its name, its type, when it last received a message, a switch, Send test and a remove button.

  • The switch pauses a destination without deleting it.
  • Send test sends a test message right now.
  • If a destination fails (the bot was removed from the group, or the webhook was deleted), the row shows the reason in red. That destination stops receiving until you fix it and Send test works. A problem on one platform does not stop the other.

Step 2: What to announce

For each destination:

  1. Turn on at least one of Live channels, Movies and Series.
  2. Under each type, choose All categories, or Only these and pick one or more categories.
  3. Click Save on that destination.

Each destination can be different. For example: everything to your private chat, and only movies of some categories to a Discord channel.

Resellers only see the categories that have content from the packages they sell, and their announcements only include that content.

Step 3: When

Format and timing are the same for all destinations and both platforms.

  • Format:
    • One post per new item (poster + synopsis) (default): each new movie or series is its own post. Live channels always go out as one list grouped by category.
    • Summary digest: one message per destination with everything new, grouped by type and category.
  • Post new content (or Send a digest): Every 15 minutes, Every hour, Every 6 hours, or Once a day at a time you choose (in your panel's time zone). Click Save.
  • Send preview: pick a destination and get a real sample right now, with what was added in the last 24 hours.

What to expect

  • Only content added after you turn a destination on is announced. You do not get the history of your whole catalog.
  • In one post per item mode, up to 15 posts go out per destination in each run, a few seconds apart. If you added more, the rest follows a few minutes later. Nothing is lost.
  • A movie or series post shows the poster, title, category, genre, rating and a short synopsis. A series with several new episodes says how many. If the poster cannot be downloaded, the post goes out as text.
  • On Discord, posts never mention anyone, even if a title contains @everyone or @here.

Common problems

  • Nothing arrives. Check that the status line says On. If it says Off · every destination is paused, turn on the switch of a destination in step 1. Check that the destination has no red error, and that the new content is in the categories you chose. With the daily option, the post goes out at the set time, not when you add the content.
  • "The bot was removed from this chat" or "This chat blocked the bot". Add the bot back to the group (or unblock it in your chat) and click Send test.
  • "Telegram rejected the bot token". Someone revoked the token in BotFather. Get a new one with /revoke or /token and connect the bot again in step 1. Your Discord destinations keep working.
  • The Telegram channel will not link. The bot must be an administrator of the channel before you click Verify, and the channel needs a public @username.
  • The Discord webhook is not accepted. Copy the full URL with Copy Webhook URL. It must start with https://discord.com/api/webhooks/.
  • "This Discord webhook was deleted. Add the channel again." Create a new webhook in that channel, add it in step 1, and remove the old destination.
  • A reseller does not see the section. The admin has Allow resellers to use content notifications off, or the reseller does not have the Settings permission.
