A new customer paid and needs a username, a password and a list of channels before they open their app. In the panel, a customer account is a client (line): one set of credentials, a number of allowed connections, an expiration date and the bouquets it can watch. This page shows how to create one.

The form is different for administrators and for resellers. Administrators set every field by hand. Resellers pick a package, and the package sets the price, duration, connections and content.

To add many clients at once, for example when you move from another panel, use Mass Import Clients.

Before you start

Create a client as an administrator

  1. In the menu, open Clients > Add Client. The form has four tabs: DETAILS, ADVANCED, RESTRICTIONS and BOUQUETS.
  2. In DETAILS, fill in:
    • Username and Password. Leave them empty and the panel generates them for you (the fields say "auto-generate if blank").
    • Email: optional, for your own records.
    • Owner: the reseller who owns the client. Leave yourself if the client is yours.
    • Max Connections: how many devices can watch at the same time. The default is 1.
    • Expiry: the expiration date. Check Never for a client that does not expire.
    • Admin Notes: a private note. The client never sees it.
  3. In ADVANCED, change only what you need:
    • Forced Connection: send this client to one specific server. With Disabled, the server with the lowest load is used.
    • Is Restreamer: the client is not blocked for restreaming channels. Use it only for customers you trust to restream.
    • Trial Account: marks the client as a trial.
    • Disable Playlist: the client cannot download the playlist and must use an IPTV app with the API.
    • Bypass UA Restrictions: the client is not blocked by the user agent blacklist of your panel.
    • Access content only through a predefined list of websites: playback only works from the websites you list, for example example.com.
    • Only 1 Country Allowed: the client can only connect from the country you choose.
  4. In RESTRICTIONS, you can limit the client to Allowed IP Addresses or Allowed User-Agents. Leave them empty for no limit.
  5. In BOUQUETS, click each bouquet the client can watch. Toggle Bouquets selects or clears all of them.
  6. Click Create Client.

Max Connections set to 0 means no limit, not zero connections. For a normal customer, use 1 or 2.

Create a client as a reseller

  1. In the menu, open Clients > Add Client. The form has two tabs: DETAILS and REVIEW PURCHASE.
  2. In DETAILS:
    • Username and Password: leave them empty to generate them. If the password field says "Password will be set automatically", your group cannot choose passwords and the panel generates one.
    • Owner: yourself or one of your sub-resellers.
    • Package: choose the plan you are selling. The panel fills Package Cost, Duration, Max Connections and Expiration Date from the package.
    • Notes: a private note.
  3. Open REVIEW PURCHASE and check:
    • The cost. With credits you see Total Credits, Purchase Cost and Remaining Credits. With slots you see Active Users, Max Users and Remaining Slots.
    • Bouquets: the bouquets of the package, all checked under Include it. Uncheck the ones this client should not get.
    • Categories: uncheck a category to hide it from this client.
  4. Click Create Client. The credits are taken from your balance, or one slot is used.

Trials

To give a free test, open Clients > Generate Trial. It is the same form, but the Package list only shows trial packages, and the client gets the trial duration and price of the package. A trial client does not use a slot. If Generate Trial is missing from your menu, the administrator turned off trials for resellers in Settings > Resellers (Block creation of trials).

What happens next

  • The client is ready to log in. On the client page you can copy or download the playlist in Download Playlist, and turn on Encrypt to get an encrypted playlist link. See Playlist Encryption.
  • The client appears in Clients > Overview. Use the filters to find it later.
  • To change anything later, or to renew it, see Edit a Client.

Common problems

  • "Username already exists": another client already uses that username. Choose another one, or leave the field empty to generate one.
  • The client logs in but sees no channels: no bouquet was selected. The client page shows "No content assigned." Open the client, select bouquets and save.
  • "You do not have enough credits to purchase this package." (reseller): add credits to your balance, or ask your administrator.
  • "You have reached your maximum active users limit" (reseller with slots): all your slots are in use. Wait for a client to expire or ask for more slots.
  • "There are currently no user packages available to you" (reseller): no package is assigned to your group. Ask your administrator to add your group to a package.
